When hair starts changing

The part looks wider. The shower drain looks busier. You want to know what changed.

Hair thinning can begin at the follicle, the scalp, or somewhere else in the body. Copper peptides interact with dermal-papilla and tissue-remodeling biology. In isolated human follicles, the copper tripeptide AHK-Cu increased follicle elongation.

Two strengths

0.5% or 3% GHK-Cu in a 50 mL bottle.

The percentage names the GHK-Cu concentration—not the total weight of a multi-peptide blend. Your prescription label will list the strength, amount, and application schedule.

Human hair follicles

AHK-Cu increased follicle elongation in the lab.

In a 2007 study of isolated human hair follicles, the copper tripeptide AHK-Cu increased follicle elongation and stimulated dermal-papilla-cell proliferation. AHK-Cu and GHK-Cu are closely related copper-binding tripeptides.
