One tablet tells your brain to turn testosterone back up.

Enclomiphene blocks the estrogen receptors that tell the pituitary to ease off. LH and FSH climb, your testes answer, and the testosterone in your blood is testosterone you made.

  • Blocks estrogen feedback at the brain
  • LH and FSH carry the signal to the testes
  • Total testosterone into the normal range in a randomized Phase II trial

Four questions, one offer

The mechanism, answered one question at a time.

Enclomiphene does not carry testosterone. It changes one message, and your own body does the rest. The price and the button stay beside every answer.

The switch

How does a tablet raise testosterone?

Estrogen tells the pituitary to ease off. Enclomiphene blocks that receptor, so the message never lands, LH and FSH climb, and your testes answer them. Nothing is added from outside. The testosterone in your blood is testosterone you made.

Glass diagram of the hormone axis: a brain form at the left feeds two rust-lit tubes labelled LH and FSH across to a pair of glowing testes at the right, while the testosterone feedback line back to the brain is stopped by a black block.

The signal chain

What happens between the tablet and the testosterone?

Three steps, and your own body runs all of them. Enclomiphene changes one message; it carries no testosterone and no anabolic steroid.

  • Feedback. Estrogen tells the pituitary to ease off on testosterone. Enclomiphene blocks that receptor, so the message never lands.
  • Signal. LH and FSH leave the pituitary and travel to the testes. These are the hormones that drive testosterone and sperm production.
  • Production. The testes answer LH by making testosterone. FSH keeps sperm production running at the same time.

Human trials

What did the trials actually measure?

Two published human trials of enclomiphene citrate, in plain English, with what each one looked at.

It raised testosterone and held sperm concentration. A randomized Phase II trial in men with low testosterone. Enclomiphene citrate raised total testosterone into the normal range. Sperm concentration was maintained on enclomiphene and suppressed on topical testosterone gel.

Wiehle RD, et al. Fertility and Sterility, 2014.

The testosterone came from the men, not the bottle. Oral enclomiphene citrate stimulated the endogenous production of testosterone and sperm counts in men with low testosterone. The testosterone came from the men themselves rather than from a dose.

Kaminetsky J, et al. Journal of Sexual Medicine, 2013.

What the trials did not test. Both studied enclomiphene citrate. Neither tested Rebody's compounded tablet. Enclomiphene is not an FDA-approved treatment for low testosterone, and compounded medications are not FDA-approved or evaluated for safety, efficacy, or quality by the FDA.

Labs first

Why do four lab markers come before a prescription?

Enclomiphene pushes on LH and FSH, so it needs a loop that still answers them. These four readings say whether yours does, where your testosterone sits today, and how much of it your tissues can actually use.

LHSays whether the pituitary is still sending the signal enclomiphene amplifies.
FSHSays whether the sperm side of the same loop is still being driven.
Total testosteroneThe number you came here to move, measured before anything changes it.
SHBGSays how much of that testosterone is actually available to your tissues.

What the mechanism feels like from the outside.

Back in the gym

I am about three months into the enclomiphene program. My afternoons are better, I am back in the gym and my sex drive has improved. My Rebody doctor has been easy to reach and explained when I needed to do my next labs.

My wife noticed first

I was not sure the enclomiphene was doing much until my wife pointed out that I had stopped falling asleep on the couch after dinner and seemed more engaged. I have started lifting again too. Rebody sends the lab reminders before I think to look for them, and my last refill question was answered that afternoon.

I feel like myself again

Before enclomiphene, I spent a long time feeling tired, unmotivated and not like myself, and kept blaming age and work. My doctor listened, explained my labs clearly and gave me a plan that has made a huge difference. I am training again, have energy for my family after work and my confidence is back. The care team has also been there every time I have needed them.

Mechanism and evidence

How the tablet does what it does.

The molecule, the signal, the trials, the labs, and the boundary those trials leave.

How does a tablet raise testosterone?

Enclomiphene blocks estrogen receptors in the brain. The pituitary reads that as a signal to send more LH and FSH to the testes, and those are the hormones that drive your own testosterone production. Nothing is added from outside, so the testosterone in your blood is testosterone you made.

Is enclomiphene the same as clomiphene?

Enclomiphene is the trans-isomer of clomiphene citrate. Clomiphene is a mixture of two isomers; enclomiphene is the one that drives the LH and FSH response. Both trials cited on this page studied enclomiphene citrate specifically.

Is enclomiphene a steroid?

No. It is a selective estrogen receptor modulator. It carries no testosterone and no anabolic steroid. It changes the feedback signal, and your own testes produce the hormone.

How long does the tablet keep working?

It works while you take it. Each shipment holds 90 tablets, taken as one each morning, which is a 90-day supply. Your provider decides when to repeat labs and whether the strength should change.

Why do LH, FSH, total testosterone, and SHBG get read first?

Because enclomiphene works by raising LH and FSH, it needs a loop that can still respond to them. Those four markers tell a licensed provider whether your own production loop is active, where your testosterone sits today, and how much of it is available to your tissues.

What did the trials not test?

Wiehle 2014 and Kaminetsky 2013 studied enclomiphene citrate. Neither trial tested Rebody's compounded tablet. Enclomiphene is not an FDA-approved treatment for low testosterone, and compounded medications are not FDA-approved or evaluated for safety, efficacy, or quality by the FDA.

Safety and prescribing

Important safety information.

Enclomiphene is a prescription medication for men. Tell your provider about all medications and supplements, allergies, prostate or cardiovascular history, fertility plans, and your complete health history. Reported side effects include headache, nausea, hot flashes, mood changes, and joint discomfort.

Stop treatment and seek urgent care for chest pain, shortness of breath, vision changes, or signs of a serious allergic reaction such as trouble breathing or facial swelling. Do not share this medication. It is not for use by women or by anyone who is pregnant or may become pregnant.
